CRASH.............!

I'm here to say that road rash is not as bad as I thought it would be. The other injuries hurt a lot more......So I'm riding down a street in Charleswood on my way to Headingly, like I've done dozens of times before, and a piece of the road jumped out and grabbed my front wheel. The handlebars were torn right out of my hands and the next thing I knew I was landing on my left shoulder, hand, hip, elbow, knee and head. Ouch! And now I know why we wear helmets since mine is now cracked. My first high speed crash. The runner that stopped to help me asked if this was the beginning or end of my ride and I said that it was the end now! I limped home and applied ice. Good old ice.....
